How to Decide: Akkusativ or Dativ?
- Many verbs take the Akkusativ: abholen, kennen, finden, lesen.
- Some verbs always take the Dativ: helfen, gefallen, gehören, schmecken.
- Prepositions decide too: ohne + Akkusativ.
- Learn each new verb together with its case.
